Forever Sweet Memories with Arden Creative Studio

Some memories do not need a big speech to feel enormous—and this one with my mom is exactly that. For Forever Sweet Memories, I wanted the page to feel like a soft hug: light, delicate, and full of color without being loud. I cut a large white butterfly base with my Cricut Explore 4, then filled it with a flutter of tiny rainbow die-cut butterflies to bring that “everything is brighter when you are loved” feeling. To build the background and layers, I mixed Field Notes, Laurel Grove, and Page Starters from Arden Creative Studio, keeping the patterns calm and intentional so the photo stays front and center—because the real masterpiece here is the memory.

Let’s create together this Forever Sweet Memories Layout…

Base of the layout:

As the base of the layout, I used a sheet of white cardstock from the 12″ × 12″ Bright White pack.
I added the pink paper from the Field Notes Solids 12″ × 12″ Paper Pad. From this pink paper, we will trim 1/2″ total from the sides.
Adhere the colored cardstock flat onto the white cardstock (leave the top left corner unglued).
You can cut the butterfly base with an electronic cutting machine, like I did here, or you can also cut it by hand. My piece measures 10″ wide × 7″ tall. I cut it from the same white cardstock mentioned above. You can find the design in my Cricut Design Space profile: HERE.
Gently tear the top left corner of the pink cardstock, just a little. Then stitch around the torn edges to add a beautiful textured detail. You can do this with a sewing machine or by hand.
Prepare a white cardstock mat for the photo. I am using a photo that measures 2 3/4″ wide × 3 3/4″ tall, so my mat will be 1/8″ larger on each side.
Make a small white cardstock tube that we will place under the wing that will hold the colorful butterflies. You can use a pencil to shape it.
Take the butterfly and a scoring board. We need to score the folds along the butterfly’s body.
Next, add 3D foam tape to the side where the photo will go, meaning the front/right side. Also add foam tape under the butterfly’s body.
Place the cardstock tube under the left wing.
Adhere the butterfly in the center of the layout.

Decorative details:

Choose the papers to build a beautiful color palette for the butterflies.
Die cut the butterflies and their bodies in the same colors, then assemble them.
The color order (from bottom to top) is: pink, light blue/blue, green, yellow, and orange.
Start by adhering the pink butterflies. Always attach them with dimension and follow the color order mentioned above. This way, you will create a rainbow with all of them.
Keep in mind that shaping the butterfly wings and adhering them with dimension makes a big difference. In my case, I used hot glue to make the process faster.
Continue color by color until all the butterflies are adhered.
Once you are done, add the main word or phrase. Then use sticker alphabet letters to place small phrases around the butterfly wing.
Add a secondary phrase and word, finishing it off with a few enamel dots.
Another detail I love adding is a few colorful butterflies from laser-cut packs from different collections. Do not forget to adhere them with dimension.
Final touch: white watercolor. Cover the photo and let the watercolor droplets fall into place…

And we are finished! I absolutely love how this butterfly-shaped layout turned out—soft, delicate, and full of rainbow movement, with the photo and the memory taking center stage. Never Forget This Layout with Arden Creative Studio

This photo is one of my favorites—just me, a tiny butterfly in my hand, and one of those simple moments you never want to forget. Today I’m sharing my “Never Forget This” layout using the Laurel Grove collection by Arden Creative Studio, with soft rainbow garlands, lots of layers, and a sweet central cluster packed with details so the photo stays the true star of the page.

Let’s create together this Never Forget This Layout

Base of the layout:

As the base for the layout, I chose a patterned paper from the Arden Creative Studio Laurel Grove 12×12 Paper Pad. Another tip: you can remove the center of the patterned paper to make the most of the remaining border. To do that, cut 1″ in from each side.
Then I added a Natural White cardstock from the brand’s Premium Cardstock (Arden Creative Studio – 12 x 12 – Natural White) . I trimmed this sheet by 1/2″ on each side.
From the Arden Creative Studio Laurel Grove Solids 12×12 Paper Pad, I picked 5 colors. I cut circles using 1 3/4″ and 1″ circle punches. You’ll need to cut 5 circles of each color in each size.
Fold the circles in half and glue them down by their center.
Place all the larger half-circles across the layout base to create garlands. Stitch them with a sewing machine or by hand to give them that true garland look.
Glue the smaller half-circles on top of the larger ones.

Decorative details:

Using one of the frames from the Arden Creative Studio Laurel Grove Ephemera Pack , I framed my black-and-white photo. Then, I used the leftover patterned paper from the layout base to create an additional frame for that finished piece.
I adhered this framed photo with 3D foam, placing it 2 1/2″ from the left edge and 3 1/2″ up from the bottom of the layout.
Next, I started adding the sentiments and embellishments from the collection. I used phrases from Arden Creative Studio Laurel Grove Ephemera Pack, Arden Creative Studio Laurel Grove Page Makers Ephemera Pack, one sentiment from the Arden Creative Studio Laurel Grove 6×8 Paper Pad (and added tiny gold brads as an extra detail), plus flowers and butterflies from the Arden Creative Studio Laurel Grove Laser Cuts set. Everything is layered with dimension to create a beautiful sense of depth.
For the final touch, I added a few stamped details using the Letter Box Postmarks Clear Stamp Set set.
And to finish it off, I added a few drops of gold watercolor—such a small detail, but it gives the whole page a truly magical touch.

How to Make Mini Wax Seals – Step-by-Step

Working with the Mini Wax Seal Kit from Spellbinders is not only fun—it’s also a perfect way to add charming and custom touches to your creative projects. Here’s how I like to make mine, with a sparkly twist you’ll love!

What You’ll Need:

Mini Wax Seal Kit (seals, wax beads, spoon, and warmer)
Tea light warmer or electric wax seal warmer
Wax beads (I usually use 2 beads per seal)
Your favorite glitter (fine or iridescent works great!)
Non-stick surface (like a silicone mat or glass board)
Optional: tweezers and a cooling tray

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Set up your warmer: choose between a tea light warmer or an electric wax seal warmer—both work beautifully. Place your spoon on top and make sure it’s stable before you begin.
Add the wax beads: drop 2 wax beads into the spoon. That’s the perfect amount for a mini seal—it gives great coverage without overflowing. Let them melt completely (this usually takes about 1-2 minutes).
Pour the wax: carefully pour the melted wax onto your non-stick surface, creating a small puddle in the center.
Add the sparkle: immediately after pouring the wax, sprinkle a tiny pinch of glitter directly on top. It will blend slightly with the warm wax and add a gorgeous sparkly effect.
Stamp the seal: press your wax seal stamp into the center of the wax and hold it steady for a few seconds. Let it cool before removing.
Cool & peel: once the wax has hardened (about 10–15 seconds), gently lift the seal from the surface. You can use it right away or save it for future projects!

How to Use Your Mini Wax Seals:

These mini wax seals are incredibly versatile! You can:

Add them to envelopes and gift tags
Decorate the front of a handmade card
Use them as embellishments for mini albums or layouts
Seal packages or favor bags for events
Clip them onto journals or planners
Combine them with ribbons or die cuts for mixed media projects

The possibilities are endless—and with a bit of glitter, they truly shine!

Friends Forever Layout with Spellbinders and Simple Stories

Do you have a favorite photo with your best friend? How about creating a special layout with it? Today, I invite you to combine the Classic Pooh scrapbooking collection by Simple Stories with some dies from the SV Flower Shoppe collection by Spellbinders and Simple Stories to create this beautiful and colorful composition!

Let’s create together this Friends Forever Layout

Base of the layout:

As the main base, I used one of the papers from the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection – 12 x 12 Collection Kit. In my case the «Sweet as Hunny» paper.
One option is to use another 12×12 cardstock as a background color (if you’d like).
Then, I decided to use some of the colors from the 12 x 12 Textured Cardstock Kit – Boho set for die-cutting. I also added a sheet of white cardstock.
I die-cut three strips of each color using the different designs from the STITCH & DOTS SCALLOP BORDERS ETCHED DIES set. I also die-cut some extra pieces in white since I used them as the beginning and end of my «color cascade.»
I also cut some lace-style border pieces using a few of the dies from the SCALLOP JOURNAL CARDS ETCHED DIES set.

Decorative details:

I chose one of the frames from the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection – Chipboard Frames set and added my photo (in black and white for this design).
I die-cut flowers from the SCALLOP JOURNAL CARDS ETCHED DIES set using the same colors I had already selected for the border pieces. The idea is to decorate in color blocks
I added my photo with 3D foam as the central piece.
I cut the border strips in half and started placing them on both sides using 3D foam.
At both the beginning and the end, I used the white cardstock border strips.
I used the die-cut pieces to cover the parts of the chipboard frame design that I didn’t want to be visible.
The final details included pieces from the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection – Foam Stickers, Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection – 6 x 12 Chipboard Stickers and stickers from the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection – 12 x 12 Collection Kit sets and some enamel dots from the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection – Glossy Enamel Dots set.

The result is a beautiful composition with all the details layered to enhance depth and color.

The amazing ColorWheel Collection by Spellbinders

I’m so excited to show you this new collection of Spellbinders products! The ColorWheel collection is magnificent—not just because of the new paper colors but also because of the die sets, stamp, and the different paper sizes available (12×12 and 8.5×11). Shall we discover it together?

For my first idea with this collection, I created a sample of all the new papers using the Color Swatch Petal set—it’s so beautiful! I decided to add a very subtle touch of shine using the brand’s Gold Assortment paper set.

I think the result is simply wonderful! Plus, these die sets are perfect for creating endless ideas—from swatches of other products like inks, embossing powders, and more to scrapbooking projects like cards and layouts. I’ve got some ideas in the works…

Once everything is die-cut and assembled, the stamp is the most practical way to quickly and beautifully label all the papers.

I truly believe this is a collection worth having and one we can get so much out of. Don’t you think? I already have the 8.5×11 pack on the way, which includes all the colors (5 sheets of each). I think it’s a very practical option!

My Beautiful Existence Layout with Bibi Cameron

After creating the rainbow card with Bibi Cameron ‘s «Intense Liquid Colors» , I just had to come up with another rainbow-inspired idea! This time, I invite you to create this beautiful layout. Let that special and cherished memory take center stage in our creation! Shall we get started? I’m going to show you how to create this layout with watercolors.

For today’s layout, I used:

Base of the layout:

As the main base, I used one of the papers from my collection. It is Rainbow Avenue Collection – 12 x 12 Double Sided Paper – Peony Dreams.
Add a 12×12 white cardstock sheet. Trim 1/2″ off both sides. Adhere it to the base and add a stitching detail if you’d like.
The base of the design is a rainbow that I cut with my cutting machine. If you’d like the files, feel free to email me, and I’ll send them to you! 😉
I worked with the Retro Brights 8 Pack. Using watercolor paper, I cut all the arches and then painted them. I also cut an extra piece of each arch in vellum paper.
Once the painted arches are dry, I stitched the vellum arches (in the center) with my sewing machine.
The photo measures 9 1/2″ wide x 4 3/4″ high.
First, I glued the arches, then attached the photo using 3D foam.

Dcorative details:

Here is where you can use collections and embellishments you have at home that match the theme of the photo you’re using. I took advantage of a beautiful collection I had saved from Paige Evans. I played with the embellishments and layered many of them. You’ll also notice that, in some cases, I added them in color blocks.
Another detail I added is white enamel dots. Once everything is in place, I recommend lifting the edges of the vellum pieces slightly to showcase the volume they add and the beautiful effect they create alongside the painted paper.
Then, you can add your title with a puffy or foam alphabet or phrases. And don’t forget to add the date.

I think it’s a beautiful idea that allows us to play and have fun while creating with watercolors and other materials we already have at home. I absolutely love this watercolor set!

A Day to Remember Layout with Lora Bailora

Hello! Welcome to a new idea I’d love to share with all of you. Today, I’m showing you my first project as part of Lora Bailora’s DT. I’m so happy with the result! I created this layout with a special memory and used the January stamp from the Stamp It! subscription.

¡Hola! Bienvenidos a una nueva idea que quiero compartir con todos ustedes. Hoy les muestro mi primer proyecto como parter del DT de Lora Bailora. ¡Estoy feliz con el resultado! He hecho este layout con un recuerdo especial y he usado el sello de Enero de la Suscripción Stamp It!

Base del Layout / Layout Base:

Use a 12×12 white cardstock sheet for the base.
Using the BLOC 36 PAPELES DE 30,5X30,5 CM DOT LOQUER and my Scoring Board and Trimmer Tool from Sizzix, cut paper strips that are 1/2″ and 1/4″ wide. If you have a die for cutting strips, you can use that as well.
Prepare a 5″ x 5″ square photo.
With all the paper strips, we’ll create a background. The wider strips are placed as the base, and the thinner ones (using 3D foam strips) are layered in between. The wider strips should be 8 5/8″ high, while the thinner ones should be 8 1/8″ high.
For this composition, I chose four colors from the paper pad, but you can mix and match whichever ones you like!

Using the digital edition of this month’s Stamp It! subscription stamp, I printed a frame for the photo measuring 6 5/8″ wide x 5 3/8″ high.
I also printed one of the phrases, which measures 3 1/2″ wide x 1″ high.
I adhered the photo to the frame using 3D foam and then attached the assembled piece to the layout base (also with 3D foam). This layout features a beautiful layered effect.
Finally, I added decorative details using embellishments from last year’s 2024 subscription.

¡Hola a todos! ¡Feliz Sábado! Este mes estoy obsesionada con hacer layouts! Es algo que me encanta! Y hoy les tengo una nueva propuesta usando los productos de los Clubs del mes de Spellbinders. ¿Qué les parece si usamos materiales pensados para tarjetería y creamos un precioso layout? ¡Manos a la obra!

Base del Layout / Layout Base:

Use a 12×12 white cardstock sheet for the base.
Prepare two floral pieces using the hot foil plate from the set GLIMMER HOT FOIL KIT OF THE MONTH CLUB. Once the pieces are ready, die-cut the edges with the die from the same set and your Platinum SIX Machine. These pieces will be used as corners for our photo.
Prepare a 7 3/4″ w x 5 1/2″ h photo (horizontal).
Make a cut in the corner piece that will be used in the upper right corner of the photo.
Attach the corner pieces to the photo, then adhere the resulting piece to the base paper of the layout.

Add a stamped phrase using the set CLEAR STAMP & DIE OF THE MONTH CLUB. Since I used a textured paper as the base for my layout, the stamp will have a slightly distressed finish (something I love for this composition).

Tip: Adhere some of the elements with foam adhesive for dimension. I always do it because I love how the different layers look.
