Hi, everyone! Happy to be back! Today I’m sharing a heart-shaped card that’s equal parts sweet and sporty—because yes, both can exist on the same card and look this cute. I created this layered “I DINK YOU’RE AWESOME” design using the Born to Think set from the This is Life collection by Spellbinders, and I leaned into a clean, fresh palette with that dreamy blue glow inside the heart (instant mood-lifter). The little paddles, the crisp “net” detail, and those fun pops of color make it feel playful without getting messy—classic heart shape, modern twist, and a sentiment that basically high-fives the recipient. Let’s take a closer look at all the details and supplies so you can recreate this happy-card energy, too!

For this card I used:

• BORN TO DINK CLEAR STAMP & DIE SET
• PIECED HEART ETCHED DIES
• PLATINUM SIX MACHINE
• ColorWheel Cardstock: BEESWAX, LAVENDER, ORCHID, BREEZE, TUTU, WATERFALL, CASCADE, ANTIQUE WHITE.

Card Base:

• First, for the card base, I used the PIECED HEART ETCHED DIES. I die cut the base heart in BREEZE cardstock
• I cut a smaller heart using my electronic cutting machine with CASCADE cardstock.
• Using a Distress Oxide ink (any color of your choice), I blended the edges to create a soft, colored frame on the smaller heart.
• Then, I adhered one heart on top of the other using 3 mm thick 3D foam tape to achieve a beautiful dimensional effect. Layering is perfect for this.
• With that, the card base is ready.

Decorative details:

Once the background is finished, we can move on to the decorative details of this card:

• For the net, I die cut two pieces: one from white cardstock and another from glitter cardstock from the ANTIQUE WHITE set.
• Using the rest of the colors from my chosen palette, I die cut all the pieces needed to create both paddles. You can mix and match the colors however you like.
• For the sentiment, I chose “I Dink You’re Awesome” from the stamp set.
• I stamped it on white cardstock using VersaFine ink and my MISTI.
  Then, I used the coordinating die from the set to die cut the stamped sentiment.
• Next, I assembled the two paddles and started by adhering the net.
• Then I added the paddles and the ball with dimension.
• Finally, I popped up the sentiment to finish the card.

Hello, my crafty friends!Today I’m so excited to share a soft and festive Christmas card using the lovely Merry Moments collection by Spellbinders . With pastel poinsettias, delicate bows, and lots of charming details, this design brings a fresh and sweet take on the holiday spirit. I went for a modern twist with a soft color palette and layered florals—perfect for adding a dreamy, elegant touch to your Christmas projects. Let’s take a closer look at how it all came together!

• Petite Criss Cross Press Plate bp-311
• Merry and Bright Sentiment Strips Press Plate and Die Set bp-049

Card Base:

• For the card base, I used Simon Says Stamp WHITE A2 SIDE FOLD
• I’ve put together a pack of 5 cardstock colors. The colors I used are: Lavender, Tutu, Dahlia, Bellini, Mint. I die cut the pieces from the Gifting Bow Etched Dies s4-1468 using these colors and my Platinum SIX Machine.
• I also die-cut some stars from the die set using the VELLUM SHEETS pack and the Silver Assortment pack.
• Additionally, I prepared a background panel using the Petite Criss Cross Press Plate bp-311 and the BetterPress Letterpress System. The BetterPress Cotton Card Panels A2 are amazing!
• To add even more texture and dimension to the colorful bows, I layered each one over a piece of vellum. This soft detail gives the entire design a light and airy feel—perfect for enhancing the delicate, festive vibe of the card.

Decorative details:

This card is all about soft colors, delicate textures, and festive details that come together in a sweet and elegant holiday design. Every piece was thoughtfully die-cut and layered to create dimension, flow, and that magical handmade touch we love so much. Let me walk you through the details…

• Elegant Layered Poinsettias: The focal points of the card are the layered poinsettia flowers in soft pinks and blush tones. Each petal is delicately shaped to give a sense of natural volume and movement. The layering brings depth to the card and evokes the softness and elegance of real holiday blooms..
• Pastel Green Foliage: Surrounding each poinsettia, soft green die-cut leaves add balance and contrast. The mix of leaf shapes mimics real greenery and adds to the lushness of the floral arrangements.
• Tiny Accent Flowers: Scattered among the poinsettias are tiny peach and soft pink blossoms with delicate centers. These smaller florals help to fill the composition, soften transitions, and add extra charm and whimsy.
• Sparkling Centers: Each flower—large or small—is finished with a rhinestone or silver accent in the center. These shimmering details add a festive sparkle and elevate the card’s holiday feel.
• Lavender Ribbons with Vellum Accents: Flowing throughout the card are die-cut lavender ribbons that bring playful movement and guide the eye across the entire design. Behind each ribbon is a vellum shadow layer that adds subtle dimension and gives a light, airy feel to the composition.
• Sentiment Banner: The final touch is the sentiment “Merry Christmas,” beautifully foiled in silver and centered toward the bottom of the card on a crisp white banner. I created it using the Merry and Bright Sentiment Strips Press Plate and Die Set bp-049 along with the Glimmer Hot Foil System and Platinum SIX Machine. This elegant banner anchors the design while adding just the right amount of festive shine, perfectly tying together the soft colors and delicate details of the entire composition.

And that’s how this sweet and delicate Christmas card came together! Every little piece—bows, florals, leaves, textures, and the touch of shine—was thoughtfully layered to create a card full of charm and elegance. It’s the perfect way to send a little holiday magic in pastel tones!

• To add a soft and cozy touch to the scene, I used natural-colored felt to die cut the blanket draped over the chair. I decided to double the layers to give it a fuller, more realistic look—just like a real, thick blanket ready to keep you warm on a winter day!

Decorative details:

This little holiday scene came to life with so much love and care. I wanted it to feel warm, nostalgic, and full of handmade charm—just like the holidays should be! Here’s a closer look at all the details I added to make this card extra special:

• The chair: Die-cut in soft pink tones, it creates the perfect cozy base for the scene.
• The blanket: I used natural-colored felt and cut it twice to layer it, giving it a soft, full look that feels warm and realistic.
• The pillow: A red pillow with white polka dots and a cream-colored Christmas tree—just the right amount of festive flair!
• The teddy bear: One of my favorite touches! He brings a playful, sweet feel that adds personality and a story to the card.
• The tree: A tiny Christmas tree in a lavender pot, topped with a golden star and a matching gold detail on the pot.
• The background: A white embossed cardstock with a subtle sweather texture—it adds soft dimension and keeps the focus on the scene
• The final touch is the sentiment “Warm & Cozy Wishes” which we’ll create using the Merry and Bright Sentiment Strips Press Plate and Die Set bp-049 set along with our Glimmer Hot Foil System and Platinum SIX Machine. I prepared it in gold foil—it brings everything together beautifully with the perfect holiday message.

What I love most is that every single element on this card—from the chair to the tiny pillow and even the teddy bear—comes from the same die set. Isn’t that amazing? This set is incredibly versatile and full of charming details that let you build a whole cozy Christmas scene in just one project. The pieces layer beautifully and offer so many possibilities for mixing materials like felt, cardstock, and foil. It truly makes every card feel like a little storybook moment. I know I’ll be using it again and again this season!

How to Make Mini Wax Seals – Step-by-Step

Working with the Mini Wax Seal Kit from Spellbinders is not only fun—it’s also a perfect way to add charming and custom touches to your creative projects. Here’s how I like to make mine, with a sparkly twist you’ll love!

What You’ll Need:

• Mini Wax Seal Kit (seals, wax beads, spoon, and warmer)
• Tea light warmer or electric wax seal warmer
• Wax beads (I usually use 2 beads per seal)
• Your favorite glitter (fine or iridescent works great!)
• Non-stick surface (like a silicone mat or glass board)
• Optional: tweezers and a cooling tray

Step-by-Step Instructions:

• Set up your warmer: choose between a tea light warmer or an electric wax seal warmer—both work beautifully. Place your spoon on top and make sure it’s stable before you begin.
• Add the wax beads: drop 2 wax beads into the spoon. That’s the perfect amount for a mini seal—it gives great coverage without overflowing. Let them melt completely (this usually takes about 1-2 minutes).
• Pour the wax: carefully pour the melted wax onto your non-stick surface, creating a small puddle in the center.
• Add the sparkle: immediately after pouring the wax, sprinkle a tiny pinch of glitter directly on top. It will blend slightly with the warm wax and add a gorgeous sparkly effect.
• Stamp the seal: press your wax seal stamp into the center of the wax and hold it steady for a few seconds. Let it cool before removing.
• Cool & peel: once the wax has hardened (about 10–15 seconds), gently lift the seal from the surface. You can use it right away or save it for future projects!

How to Use Your Mini Wax Seals:

These mini wax seals are incredibly versatile! You can:

• Add them to envelopes and gift tags
• Decorate the front of a handmade card
• Use them as embellishments for mini albums or layouts
• Seal packages or favor bags for events
• Clip them onto journals or planners
• Combine them with ribbons or die cuts for mixed media projects

The possibilities are endless—and with a bit of glitter, they truly shine!

Hi, crafty friends! Time to create! I’m so happy to share a sweet and playful new card with you today! This time, I created an interactive card using the Little Smiles collection by Spellbinders — and it turned out just as magical as I imagined! I couldn’t resist turning one of those adorable characters into the star of the show (literally!) with a dreamy sky background, layered clouds, soft colors, and little interactive details that bring the whole scene to life.

It’s the perfect project to welcome a new baby or simply to celebrate joyful moments with a handmade touch. In this post, I’ll walk you through the design process, share tips for assembling your card, and show how I added dimension and movement in a fun, easy way. Let’s take a closer look and start crafting some smiles!

For today’s card, I used:

• Swinging Among the Stars die set
• BetterPress Plates And Dies – Sentiments
• Embossing Folder – Stargazer
• Precision Layering Basics – A2 A

Card Base:

• For the card base, I used A2 WHITE CARD BASES – SIDE FOLD – 25 PACK
• I’ve put together a pack of 10 cardstock colors. The colors I used are: Classic White, Beewax, Tuscan, Tutu, Anchor, Acorn, Fawn, Blush, Raven, Mint. die cut the pieces from the Swinging Among the Stars set using these colors and my Platinum SIX Machine.
• I also die-cut some stars from the die set using the Gold Assortment pack.
• Additionally, I prepared a background panel using the Stargazer embossing folder and the Precision Layering Basics – A2 A die set.
• To add a lovely touch, I applied Distress Oxide ink in Speckled Egg using my blending brushes and my Ultra Sticky Mat from Altenew.

Decorative details:

• We take all the hippo and star-shaped hot air balloon pieces and assemble everything.
• We adhere some clouds to the background panel — they should be glued flat, without using 3D foam.
• Then, we add the hippo along with the balloon basket using a single foam dot to make it interactive. It’s important that this foam piece is round.
• Next, we attach the star balloon on top of that foam dot — and that’s how we bring the interactive element to life on this card.
• The final touch is the sentiment “Hello, Baby!” which we’ll create using the BetterPress Plates And Dies – Sentiments set along with our Glimmer Hot Foil System and Platinum SIX Machine. For the foil, we’ll be using black to give it a bold and elegant finish.

I think the result is wonderful! You look at it and can’t help but smile!

Hello, crafty friends! I’m so happy to be back with a brand-new project that’s full of color, joy, and creative possibilities!

Today I’m sharing a fun and playful mini album made with the gorgeous Just Sayin’ collection by Kelly Bangs for Spellbinders. As soon as I saw this collection, I knew I wanted to create something that would reflect its cheerful vibe and storytelling elements. And what better way to do that than with a mini album bound with metal book rings?

This project is a celebration of everyday moments, bright colors, and meaningful little details — perfect for documenting your favorite photos, journaling, and adding your personal touch. Let’s take a closer look at the structure and all the fun embellishments I used to bring it to life!

For today’s mini album, I used:

• JUST SAYIN’ 12″» X 12″» PRINTED PAPER PACK
• JUST SAYIN’ WRITABLE DIE CUTS
• JUST SAYIN’ CHIPBOARD DIE CUTS
• JUST SAYIN’ DIE CUTS
• JUST SAYIN’ STICKER PACK
• SPEECH BUBBLES SENTIMENTS CLEAR STAMP
• 12″ Paper Trimmer & Scorer
• Pro Shears – 9 Inch

Mini Album Structure and Cover:

• Cut three pieces of chipboard. You can use grey chipboard or the white chipboard. In my case, I used the white chipboard from Spellbinders. The pieces to cut are: a) 2 pieces measuring 4” wide x 7” tall, b) 1 piece measuring 2 1/4” wide x 7” tall
• Cover the back cover along with the spine using a patterned or colored paper. You should leave a 1” flap to attach the resulting piece to the front cover.
• Make the holes for the rings in the spine before covering the inside. Here’s how you should do them:
  – Bottom holes: Punch at 1” and 2” from the bottom edge (this means they are spaced 1” apart in height). Horizontally, they should be 3/8” from each edge. Do not insert the eyelets yet.
  – Top holes: Repeat the same steps as the bottom ones (mirroring the placement). Do not insert the eyelets yet.
• Cover the front cover individually with white textured cardstock. Fold and secure all four sides.
• Attach the front cover to the rest of the structure.
• Add a closure ribbon, centered vertically on your mini album.
• Now you can add the paper to cover the inside.
• Once the paper is in place, you can re-punch the holes and insert the eyelets!
• Insert the rings. You’ll notice they can be a bit tricky to handle-this is normal due to the type of binding.

Interior:

• To build the structure of the inner pages, start by cutting 18 paper strips measuring 3/4”wide x 6 3/4” tall. Cut an extra strip to make a hole-punching template. Place this strip centered inside the spine and mark the height of the 4 holes. Then, measure inward (width) and mark the center point to punch at 1/4”. These strips will serve as supports for the pages/- booklets. Glue them in pairs and then punch the holes.
• The interior consists of small booklets made of 1 piece of patterned paper + 2–3 sheets of thinner white paper (intended for journaling and adding photos).
• All pieces should measure 6 1/2” wide x 6 3/4” tall, folded in half at 3 1/4” wide.
• You can create full-sized booklets with the measurements above or cut them in half vertically, ending up with 3 1/4” tall by the same width.
• You can also create pockets, fold-outs, or any interactive elements as long as you respect the maximum width (3 1/4”) and height (6 3/4”).
• Each booklet, pocket, etc. can be glued to the edge of the support strips we created, and you can even add a stitched detail—it looks amazing!
• After that, all that’s left is to decorate and insert your pages.

Let’s create together this Friends Forever Layout

Base of the layout:

• As the main base, I used one of the papers from the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection – 12 x 12 Collection Kit. In my case the «Sweet as Hunny» paper.
• One option is to use another 12×12 cardstock as a background color (if you’d like).
• Then, I decided to use some of the colors from the 12 x 12 Textured Cardstock Kit – Boho set for die-cutting. I also added a sheet of white cardstock.
• I die-cut three strips of each color using the different designs from the STITCH & DOTS SCALLOP BORDERS ETCHED DIES set. I also die-cut some extra pieces in white since I used them as the beginning and end of my «color cascade.»
• I also cut some lace-style border pieces using a few of the dies from the SCALLOP JOURNAL CARDS ETCHED DIES set.

Decorative details:

• I chose one of the frames from the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection – Chipboard Frames set and added my photo (in black and white for this design).
• I die-cut flowers from the SCALLOP JOURNAL CARDS ETCHED DIES set using the same colors I had already selected for the border pieces. The idea is to decorate in color blocks
• I added my photo with 3D foam as the central piece.
• I cut the border strips in half and started placing them on both sides using 3D foam.
• At both the beginning and the end, I used the white cardstock border strips.
• I used the die-cut pieces to cover the parts of the chipboard frame design that I didn’t want to be visible.
• The final details included pieces from the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection – Foam Stickers, Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection – 6 x 12 Chipboard Stickers and stickers from the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection – 12 x 12 Collection Kit sets and some enamel dots from the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection – Glossy Enamel Dots set.

The result is a beautiful composition with all the details layered to enhance depth and color.

I’m so excited to show you this new collection of Spellbinders products! The ColorWheel collection is magnificent—not just because of the new paper colors but also because of the die sets, stamp, and the different paper sizes available (12×12 and 8.5×11). Shall we discover it together?

For today’s DIY, I used:

• Color Swatch Wheel
• Color Swatch Petal
• Clear Stamps – Color Swatch Names
• Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine
• Gold Assortment

For my first idea with this collection, I created a sample of all the new papers using the Color Swatch Petal set—it’s so beautiful! I decided to add a very subtle touch of shine using the brand’s Gold Assortment paper set.

I think the result is simply wonderful! Plus, these die sets are perfect for creating endless ideas—from swatches of other products like inks, embossing powders, and more to scrapbooking projects like cards and layouts. I’ve got some ideas in the works…

Once everything is die-cut and assembled, the stamp is the most practical way to quickly and beautifully label all the papers.

I truly believe this is a collection worth having and one we can get so much out of. Don’t you think? I already have the 8.5×11 pack on the way, which includes all the colors (5 sheets of each). I think it’s a very practical option!
